Most people who sign up for our free Online Quit Program post a personal public pledge to quit smoking. Many of our members have said that these pledges were very important, and that it helps strengthen their commitment.

I've begun my journey to quit smoking. It's been very difficult so far & I'm looking forward to be smoke free! My health, my family & the expense are motivators. I'm almost 58 &have smoked since I was 9! Whether I'm sick, choking whatever I still smoke! I've recently went thru months of poor health, bad cough, lost weight, many psychological symptoms that trying to quit hasn't helped! My main reason for quitting is my 8-year-old son. My smoking habit is ruining my health. Last year I had a TIA and pledged to quit then, but with five deaths in the family in the last five years made it extremely difficult. I'm sick and tired of smoking and want to live to see my son grow.
